Chilean LNB round 10 best performance: Jonnivius Smith (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Jonnivius Smith (206-C-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Deportes Puente Alto, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds, while his team edged out Boston College (#6, 1-9) 77-74. Puente Alto maintains the 4th position in their group in the Chilean LNB. Puente Alto is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Texas San Antonio star has very solid stats this year. Smith leads league in rebounds with 14.0rpg. Smith is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.7bpg and 55.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Joshua Morris (203-F-1993) of Club Deportes Puerto Varas. Morris had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Puerto Varas to another comfortable win 90-75 over slightly lower-ranked Ancud (#6, 3-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Puerto Varas to move up to 5th position in Sur. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Morris is well-known at Puerto Varas and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Roquez Johnson (201-C-1992, agency: BIG) of Club Deportes Las Animas (#4). Johnson scored 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Las Animas, leading his team to a 86-80 win against #3 ranked Univ.Concepcion in a game of the week. Las Animas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Sur. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Johnson has a very solid season. In 2 games in Chile he scored 19.0ppg.
