Puerto Varas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international guard Marcelo Perez (196-1999, college: Southern Miss) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Joshua Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Puerto Varas players scored in double figures. The former international Carlos Lauler (190-1996) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian forward Gabriel Hermosillas (202-1993) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Valdivia.

Los Leones outrebounded Puente Alto 56-36 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Los Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Los Leones made 7 blocks. Darrol Jones had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-2001, college: Tarleton St., agency: BIG) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Los Leones' coach Guillermo Frutos used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and scored 21 points. Five Los Leones and four Puente Alto players scored in double figures.
