Gonzalez's 28 points give him Hoops Agents LNB2 Player of the Week award

19-year old Daniel Gonzalez (2006) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked CD Sergio Ceppi and receives a Hoops Agents LNB2 Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 28 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Sergio Ceppi in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Arturo Prat (#5, 0-2) with 26-point margin 97-71. Sergio Ceppi is placed at 2nd position in Chilean LNB2. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Sergio Ceppi won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Gonzalez had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sergio Ceppi's top player in his first season with the team. Gonzalez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 2.0rpg) and averages solid 69.2% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Pedro Martis of CD Huachipato. He is a in his first season at Huachipato. In the last game Martis recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Huachipato lost that game 67-75 to Omega (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Martis is one of the most experienced players at Huachipato and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#7). He also registered 18.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Kaleb Vaughn (198-F-1996) of Villa Alemana Basquet (#4). Vaughn scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Vaughn's great performance the Alemana lost 62-70 to #3 ranked Truenos. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Vaughn has individually a great season in Chile. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.0rpg (4th best).
