Jahsean Corbett claims Chilean LNB weekly honour

U.S. Virgin Islands-American Jahsean Corbett (198-G/F-2002, agency: Helping Ballers) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best CD Espanol Osorno and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 23-year old swingman had a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Ancud (#7, 1-7) 97-84. Espanol is placed at 2nd position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Espanol will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. Corbett just recently signed at Espanol, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Duquesne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Corbett is in league's top in points (9th best: 21.3ppg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Croatian forward Gojko Sudzum (203-F-1994, agency: Bell Basketball) of second-ranked Colegio Los Leones de Quilpue. Sudzum impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Los Leones to another comfortable win 101-84 over the lower-ranked Boston College (#5, 3-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Los Leones to move up to second position in Centro. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Sudzum is one of the most experienced players at Los Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Rakim Brown (198-SF-1991) of Club Deportes Puente Alto (#3). Brown scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Puente Alto, leading his team to a 82-69 easy win against #4 ranked Colo Colo in a game of the week. Puente Alto needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Centro. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Brown has a great season in Chile. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.6ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (5th best). He also has 2.5spg and a FGP of 60.5%.
