Sportiva Ita. (4-1) recorded a loss in Valparaiso on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Univ.Concepcion (4-1) 68-66. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Catalina Perez (195-1997) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Barbara Cousino (178-1996) chipped in 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Chyna Cornwell (188-2001, college: Rutgers) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds. Univ.Concepcion is looking forward to face Sergio Ceppi (#8) in Santiago in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sportiva Ita. will play at home against Los Leones (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a great evening for Josefa Orrego who led her team to a victory scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Darling Diaz with 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto will meet at home Gimnastico (#4) in the next round. Quilicura will play against Azul y Rojo and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games of round 3 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
winless Sergio Ceppi lost to undefeated Los Leones in San Pablo 46-81. Gimnastico smashed Azul y Rojo at home 99-65. Sportiva Ita. destroyed Quilicura on the opponent's court 82-41. Winless Sergio Ceppi unfortunately lost to Gimnastico in a home game 68-77. Los Leones rolled over Azul y Rojo on the road 88-52.
