Sportiva Ita. held Gimnastico to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Sportiva Ita. forced 24 Gimnastico turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 37 on the defensive glass. Sportiva Ita. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Gimnastico's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American Chyna Cornwell (188-2001, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Kaye Clark (170-2000, college: ODU) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Sportiva Ita.'s coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian-DR Congolese guard Roxane Makolo (178-2000, college: Georgia) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds for Gimnastico. Sportiva Ita. (5-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position having just two points less than leader Los Leones. Gimnastico at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost.
Another exciting game for Sergio Ceppi (1-6) which played in Santiago against Quilicura (0-7). Seventh ranked Sergio Ceppi won 58-52. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Paula Carrasco (161-1994) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists and Katalina Garcia who added 9 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Cameron Diaz (-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sergio Ceppi maintains seventh position with 1-6 record. It was Quilicura's seventh loss in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.
An interesting game was also home defeat of 5th ranked Puente Alto in a game in Santiago versus Gimnastico (#4) 74-72. The winners were led by Roxane Makolo who scored that evening 30 points and 21 rebounds. Even a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds by Mabel Martinez did not help to save the game for Puente Alto. Puente Alto's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnastico maintains fourth position with 4-3 record. Loser Puente Alto keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Puente Alto lost to undefeated Los Leones on the road 70-91. Univ.Concepcion destroyed Azul y Rojo on its own court 74-32. Los Leones managed to outperform Sportiva Ita. in San Pablo 60-50. Univ.Concepcion managed to beat Sergio Ceppi at home 68-51. Azul y Rojo crushed Quilicura on the opponent's court 71-47.
