Chilean LNB round 11 best performance: Jerry Evans (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Jerry Evans (203-F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked CD Universidad de Concepcion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (35 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Los Leones (#3, 9-4) 97-88. It allowed Univ.Concepcion to consolidate first place in the Chilean LNB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Univ.Concepcion keeps a perfect 12-0 record. In the team's last game Evans had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Univ.Concepcion's top player in his first season with the team. Jerry Evans averages this season 16.4ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Bryce Beamer (197-F-1998, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) of Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. Beamer had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Ancud to another comfortable win 104-85 over slightly lower-ranked Castro (#7, 2-10) being unquestionably team leader. Ancud's 6th position in Sur has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Beamer is one of the most experienced players at Ancud and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian Santiago Calderon (190) of CEB Puerto Montt (#5). Calderon got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and eight assists. Despite Calderon's great performance the Puerto Montt lost 88-90 to Ancud (4-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Puerto Montt not to end season at such low position in Sur, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Calderon could try to bring Puerto Montt's a little bit higher in the standings. Calderon has a very solid season. In 2 games in Chile he scored 35.5ppg.
