Makolo's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

25-year old CAN-CODn guard Roxane Makolo (178-G-2000) had a great game in the last round for CD Gimnastico Vina del Mar and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had a double-double of 30 points and 21 rebounds, while her team edged out Puente Alto (#5, 3-4) 74-72. Gimnastico maintains the 4th position in Chilean LNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gimnastico will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. Makolo just recently signed at Gimnastico, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Georgia graduate has very impressive stats this year. Makolo is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.7ppg. Makolo is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.9rpg) and averages solid 51.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Randi Brown (173-G-1996) of top-ranked Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. She is American-Syrian guard in her first season at Los Leones. In the last game Brown recorded an impressive 31 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Los Leones to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Puente Alto (#5, 3-4) 91-70. Of course Los Leones still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Los Leones managed to win all 7 games keeping a perfect record. Brown is one of the most experienced players at Los Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 6.7rpg and 3.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Mabel Martinez (180-F-1986) of Municipal Puente Alto (#5). Martinez scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Martinez's great performance the Puente Alto lost 72-74 to slightly higher-ranked Gimnastico (#4, 4-3). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Puente Alto ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Martinez could help Puente Alto to bring them higher in the standings. Martinez has a great season in Chile. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (7th best).
