The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Cimarrones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cimarrones defeated second-best Team Cali in Quibdo-Choco 70-62. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was American guard Lysander Bracey (193-1996, college: Hampton) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. Center Andres Bejarano (202) chipped in 15 points. Cimarrones' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. David Pardo contributed with 21 points and 5 steals for the winners. Condores' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Mitchell Kirsch (193-1998, college: Babson) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for Sabios. Condores maintains fourth place with 3-13 record. Sabios lost their fifteenth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost.

In the last game of round 15 Sabios were defeated by Condores in Cundinamarca 97-86.
