LSBF Round 6: Cundinamarca lose to Caqueta

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Cundinamarca (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Caqueta (1-4) 57-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cundinamarca. Caqueta forced 22 Cundinamarca turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Angely Mendez (175-2000) who scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Mederith Venner chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Lady Quiroga (-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Cundinamarca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Caqueta maintains fourth position with 1-4 record, which they share with Escuela. Cundinamarca at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. Caqueta is looking forward to face higher ranked Huila (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Cundinamarca will play against Bogota and is hoping to win this game.

It was a good game for Mariana Diaz (-2002) who led her team to a victory with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Jenifer Munoz contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ibone Vargas (-1996) replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds for Azucareras. Azucareras' coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Escuela maintains fourth position with 1-4 record, which they share with Caqueta. Azucareras at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Huila. Escuela will play against league's leader Indeportes in Antioquia in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Azucareras will play against Caldas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Raptors was crushed by Escuela in a road game 68-49. Raptors lost to defending champion Indeportes at home 49-69. Guerreros won against Huila on the opponent's court 44-40. Winless Bogota managed to outperform Soacha in a home game 52-47.
