This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Toros (6-3) to third ranked Storm (5-5) 90-87 on Monday evening. Carrib.Storm forced 21 Toros Del Valle turnovers. It was a great evening for American Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Romario Roque (175-1998) helped adding 24 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Storm's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international Soren De Luque (200-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Carrib.Storm maintains third place with 5-5 record having four points less than leader Motilones, which they share with Piratas. Toros Del Valle at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Carrib.Storm is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Sabios (#7) in Manizales in the next round. Toros Del Valle will play at home against Piratas (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American guard Eric Crawford (193, college: Maine-Augusta) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for Piratas in the defeat.
