Toros (5-1) recorded its first loss in Cucuta on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Motilones (1-3) 65-58. fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Alejandro Minota (189-1998) produced 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Motilones maintains sixth position with 1-3 record. Toros Del Valle at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost.
An exciting game was played in Medellin. Third ranked Storm faced their biggest opponent Paisas. Guests from San Andres Island (4-2) defeated host Paisas (3-1) 83-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paisas. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Michael Jackson (198-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Andres Millan contributed with 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-1985) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Paisas. Carrib.Storm moved-up to second place. Defending champion Paisas dropped to the third position with one game lost.
Leader Toros delivered the fifth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Motilones (1-3) 63-59 in Cucuta. Worth to mention a quality performance of Hayner Montano who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. Toros' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Yeison Colome responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Toros Del Valle maintains first position with 5-1 record. Loser Motilones keep the sixth place with three games lost.

In the last two games of round 4 Sabios defeated Cimarrones in Manizales 80-67. Winless Cimarrones were beaten by Sabios at home 57-71.




Motilones - Toros Del Valle 59-63

Leader Toros delivered the fifth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Motilones (1-3) 63-59 in Cucuta. Toros Del Valle dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Motilones' 24. Worth to mention a quality performance of who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Terry Armstrong (200-2000, college: Arizona) who added 13 points during the contest. Toros' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international forward Michael Jackson (198-1987) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Dominican Rey Abad (210-2002, agency: Sport Avenir) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. There was no surprise in Quibdo-Choco where bottom-ranked Cimarrones (0-6) were defeated by fifth ranked Sabios (3-3) 80-67 on Tuesday. Sabios made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 8 rebounds and who added 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Sabios' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Dominican guard Carlos Carela (185-2000) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds.
