Mauricio Baez signs James White, ex Istanbul

Metropolitanos de Mauricio Baez (TBS) signed 27-year old American forward James White (204cm-100kg-93, college: Georgia Tech). He moved there from Istanbul Basket in Turkish TBL league. In 19 TB2L games he had very impressive stats: 17.6ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.4apg and 1.6bpg last season. The previous season White played at Ural Ekaterinburg in Russian Superleague 1 where in 11 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5spg.
He has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). White has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Beroe), Dominican Republic (San Lazaro and Caneros Del Este) and Philippines (nav and Phoenix).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others His team made it to the Bulgarian Cup final in 2019. White was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-PBA Governor's Cup 2nd Team back in 2016.
He attended Georgia Institute of Technology until 2016 and it is his sixth season as a professional player.
