The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNB took place in San Francisco. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Indios (4-2) to third ranked Titanes (3-3) 92-91 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Indios. Titanes made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Indios turnovers. Point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) fired 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Terry Larrier (203-1995, college: UConn) chipped in 21 points. American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Titanes went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Caneros. Indios at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Titanes is looking forward to face Metros (#6) in Santiago in the next round. Indios will play on the road against the league's leader Reales (#1) in La Vega and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Santo Domingo was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Metros (3-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Leones (1-5). Metros managed to secure a 5-point victory 89-84. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Miguel Dicent (190-1994, college: Morehead St., agency: BMS Sport Agency) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. SirJabari Rice contributed with 16 points and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. American forward Emmitt Holt (201-1996, college: Providence) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Leones. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Metros moved-up to sixth place. Leones lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Metros will play against higher ranked Titanes (#4) in San Cristobal in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leones will play on the road against Caneros (#5) in La Romana to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Santo Domingo was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Caneros (3-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Soles (2-5). Soles defeated Caneros 96-86 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Tyler Cheese who helped to win the game recording 23 points. At the losing side Yeison Colome responded with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Soles went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Caneros dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Titanes. Soles will meet at home higher ranked Marineros (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Caneros will play against Leones and hope to secure a win.
In the last two games of round 4 Soles were defeated by Indios in San Francisco 77-68. Titanes beat Caneros at home 79-62.
