Galloway's 27 points give him Player of the Week award

33-year old American guard Ramon Galloway (190-G-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Indios de San Francisco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds for Indios in his team's victory, helping them to beat Reales (#8, 5-8) 95-87. Indios is placed at 2nd position in Dominican Rep. league. Indios is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-6 record. Galloway just recently signed at Indios, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ramon Galloway averages this season 14.8ppg and 5.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Sydney Curry (203-F-2000) of Marineros de Puerto Plata. He is American forward in his first season at Marineros. In the last game Curry recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Marineros to edge the higher-ranked Metros (#1, 8-6) by 6 points 84-78. Marineros' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Curry is one of the most experienced players at Marineros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#3). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jaison Valdez (188-PG-1995) of Leones de Santo Domingo (#3). Valdez showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Leones, leading his team to a 95-93 win against the lower-ranked Reales (#8, 5-8). Leones needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 6 lost games. Valdez has a great season in Dominican Republic. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.0apg (best passer).
