Dominican Rep. LNB round 2 (Second Stage) best performance: Adrio Bailey (by Hoops Agents)

American Swingman Adrio Bailey (197-F/G-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Indios de San Francisco, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Titanes (#6, 7-9) 78-71. Indios is placed at 3rd position in Dominican Rep. LNB. Indios is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 7th lost game this season out of 15 games. In the team's last game Bailey had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Indios, being already a very valuable addition to the team.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Sydney Curry (203-F-2000) of Marineros de Puerto Plata. Curry had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Marineros lost that game 80-88 to Metros (10-6). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Curry is one of the most experienced players at Marineros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#2). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Jhery Matos (196-SG-1996) of league's top team Metros de Santiago. Matos showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Metros, leading his team to a 88-80 win against #4 ranked Marineros in a game of the week. Metros confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 6 lost games. Matos has a great season in Dominican Republic. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 6.0rpg (9th best).
