The best player for the winners was American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) who scored 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Sydney Curry (203-2000, college: GCU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Marineros' coach Julio Cesar Javier tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Marineros will play next round against strong Indios trying to get back on the winning streak. Leones will try to continue on its current victory against Metros in Santiago.
