Curry's 32-point game gives him (Second Stage) Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American forward Sydney Curry (203-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for Marineros de Puerto Plata and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 32 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Marineros in his team's victory, helping them to beat Indios (#3, 9-8) 89-81. Marineros maintains the 5th position in Dominican Rep. league. Marineros is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 18 games. In the team's last game Curry had a remarkable 82.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Marineros, through which he has constantly improved. Grand Canyon State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Metros consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 11-7 record. Guerrero is one of the most experienced players at Metros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#1). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Richard Bautista (185-PG-1997) of Titanes del Distrito Nacional (#4). Bautista showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Titanes, leading his team to a 82-73 win against slightly lower-ranked Caneros (#6, 7-10). Titanes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Bautista has a great season in Dominican Republic. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (7th best), rebounds with 7.1rpg (7th best) and assists with 7.6apg (best passer). He also has 2.9spg and a FGP of 51.1%.
