Montero's 23 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old Luis Montero (203-SF-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Titanes del Distrito Nacional and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Titanes in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Leones (#4, 12-11) 91-87. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Titanes is placed at 2nd position in Dominican Rep. league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Titanes will need more victories to improve their 14-10 record. In the team's last game Montero had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Titanes, through which he has constantly improved. Luis Montero averages this season 17.2ppg, 9.8rpg and 4.7apg.

Second best performed player last round was Oliver Garcia (188-G-1996) of top-ranked Metros de Santiago. He is a guard in his first season at Metros. In the last game Garcia recorded an impressive 22 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Metros to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Indios (#3, 13-10) 110-83. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Metros consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 15-9 record. Garcia is one of the most experienced players at Metros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Metros' star - forward Adonis Lopez (F-1997). Lopez showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Metros de Santiago, helping his team with a 110-83 easy win against #3 ranked Indios. Metros confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 9 lost games. Lopez has a very solid season. In 20 games in Dominican Republic he scored 3.3ppg.
