Leones - Titanes 82-95

Titanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Spanish power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Evander Oriz responded with 14 points and 6 assists and American power forward Sterling Manley (213-1998, college: UNC) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Juan Guerrero (203-1993) notched 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and naturalized American guard Omar Silverio (190-1998, college: WVU) supported him with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Metros players scored in double figures. Even 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by guard Juan Suero (196-1993) did not help to save the game for Indios. Naturalized American point guard Eddy Polanco (193-1994, college: SE Louisiana, agency: Octagon Europe) added 25 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
