Puerto Plata de Realeza (LDC) agreed terms with experienced American point guard DeVon Butler (182cm-79kg-1990, college: SPSU, agency: Warren Sports International). The last time (2023) he played at Evolve Olimpica Lions in LDC league in Dominican Republic. Butler was a very solid player during the 2023 season with the Lions before a season ending injury. He suffered a right hip labral tear that knocked him out for over a year. He wasn't the same when he returned to the Olimpica Lions and retired shortly after. In 10 games as a Lion, Bulter averaged 4.2 assists per game (ranked 5th) while shooting an impressive 43.3 percent shooting from behind the arc.

He has played previously professionally in Australia (Altona), Norway (Tromso) and UBA (ATL Evolve). Bulter would also compete in the 2022 United Cup of Champions in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

Butler is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.

He graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2013 and it will be his 6th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player. Butler played also for Claflin University for 3 years.
