Alicante lands Eddy Polanco, ex San Carlos

Eddy Polanco

HLA Alicante (Primera FEB) signed 31-year-old American (also Dominican Rep. passport) 193cm point guard Eddy Polanco (college: SE Louisiana, agency: Octagon Europe). He last played at San Carlos in TBS league in the Dominican Republic. During the previous season, he played at Ferraroni Juvi Cremona in Italian Serie A2 where in 42 games he averaged an impressive 15.9ppg, 3.6rpg, and 2.1apg. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Honorable Mention for his successful season.
Polanco represented the Dominican Republic at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus (Greece) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 1 ppg and had rpg.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. Polanco is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in the Dominican Republic (Indios, Leones and Million), Italy, Poland (Enea Astoria), Portugal (Sporting) and Spain (Real Betis, Nautico Tenerife, Albacete, Lleida and Almansa).
Polanco graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018 and it'll be his eighth season in pro basketball. He played also for College of Central Florida for 2 years.
