Randy Ovalle's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Forward Randy Ovalle (201-F-2004) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked GIE Cibao Immortals, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 21-year old player recorded a triple-double of 20 points adding also 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed LDC Ignite (#4, 1-7) with 22-point margin 122-100. Immortals maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Dominican Rep. LDC. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Immortals will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. Ovalle just recently signed at Immortals, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Randy Ovalle has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 8.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Brayan Rosado (196-F-2001) of league's leader Escuadron Ponton. Rosado had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Ponton to edge slightly lower-ranked Parque Hostos (#3, 5-3) 110-108. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Western Conference. Ponton consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 7 matches. Rosado is one of the most experienced players at Ponton and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.1ppg (#3). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Adonis Nunez (191-PF-1996) of Parque Hostos (#3). Nunez showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Parque Hostos, leading his team to a 90-85 win against slightly lower-ranked Puerto Plata (#5, 1-7). Parque Hostos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Western Conference. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Nunez has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.1ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 5.5rpg (8th best) and assists with 2.5apg (9th best).
