Andersson Mejia's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old forward Andersson Mejia (201-F-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for Marineros de Puerto Plata and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He recorded a triple-double of 21 points adding also 15 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team beat Leones (#8, 3-8) 95-89. Marineros maintains the 5th position in Dominican Rep. league. Marineros is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Mejia had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Marineros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Andersson Mejia averages this season 16.0ppg, 15.0rpg and 11.8apg.

Second best performed player last round was Luismal Ferreiras (200-PF-2003) of league's second-best Indios de San Francisco. He is a forward in his first season at Indios. Third place about best performers goes to forward Levi Bradley (201-F-1996, agency: BIG) of Soles de Santo Domingo Este (#9). Bradley got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. Despite Bradley's great performance the Soles lost 86-88 to the higher-ranked Heroes (#3, 6-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Soles can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-8 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Bradley has a very solid season. In 4 games in Dominican Republic he scored 16.0ppg. Bradley attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
