Salvadorean Liga Mayor round 10 best performance: Rachel Contreras (by Hoops Agents)

Cuban Center Rachel Contreras (184-C-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Batanecas BC, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 26 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Santa Ana 2 (#6, 0-11) with 37-point margin 89-52. Batanecas maintains the 2nd position in Salvadorean Liga Mayor. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Batanecas will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Contreras had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She just recently signed at Batanecas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rachel Contreras has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.1ppg and leads league in rebounds with 20.0rpg. Contreras is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.3bpg,2.5spg and 50.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Cuban Bexy Claro (193-SF-2001) of Salvadorenas 2nd team. Claro had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 22 rebounds. Of course she led Salvadorenas 2 to another comfortable win 89-74 over slightly lower-ranked Santa Tecla 2 (#5, 3-6) being unquestionably team leader. Salvadorenas 2's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Claro is one of the most experienced players at Salvadorenas 2 and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.3ppg (#2). She also registered 16.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Monica Aristondo (163-SG-1992) of ITD Santa Tecla 2nd team (#5). Aristondo got into 30-points club by scoring 42 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Aristondo's great performance the Santa Tecla 2 lost 74-89 to slightly higher-ranked Salvadorenas 2 (#3, 6-3). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Santa Tecla 2 not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Aristondo could try to bring Santa Tecla 2's a little bit higher in the standings. Aristondo has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (4th best).
