Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Round 13 most important game was a victory of L.M.Mons. over 6th ranked Santa Ana 72-53 on Wednesday night. L.M.Mons. outrebounded Santa Ana 60-29 including a 24-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. L.M.Mons. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. Monica Calderon (175-1991) contributed with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Jennifer Ramirez (170-1997) answered with 9 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks for Santa Ana. L.M.Mons. maintains fifth place with 5-9 record, which they share with Ahuachapan. Santa Ana lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Salvadorenas (11-3) against fourth ranked Metapan (9-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Salvadorenas were crushed by Metapan in Metapan 82-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Salvadorenas. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Monica Aristondo chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Costa Rican point guard Gabriela Alvarado (177-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Metapan moved-up to third place, which they share with Santa Tecla. Salvadorenas at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.
Liga Mayor top team - San Salvador (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked L.M.Mons. (5-9) in Santa Ana 85-66. Anisleidy Galindo nailed a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Yenifer Jimenez came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for L.M.Mons. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvador have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Loser L.M.Mons. keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Ahuachapan.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. Ahuachapan was beaten by Santa Tecla on the road 72-56. Winless Capitalinas lost to Santa Tecla on its own court 50-67. Santa Ana was outscored by Ahuachapan in a road game 65-90.

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Santa Tecla (9-5) beat at home 7th ranked Ahuachapan (5-9) 72-56 on Sunday. Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Ecuadorian center Genesis Zabaleta (180-2002) accounted for 6 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Ericka Pratt (178, college: New England C., agency: Fully Feared Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Cuban swingman Maria Montero (176-1998) added 4 points and 11 assists respectively for Ahuachapan in the defeat. Santa Tecla have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Metapan. Ahuachapan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with L.M.Mons..

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Capitalinas (0-14) lost at home to fourth ranked Santa Tecla (9-5) 67-50 on Friday. Santa Tecla forced 22 Capitalinas turnovers. Ecuadorian center Genesis Zabaleta (180-2002) nailed 22 points and 22 rebounds for the winning side and Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists. Guard Valeria Ayala (164-2008) came up with 15 points (made all of her eight free throws) and Jaylin Cruz added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Capitalinas in the defeat. Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Ahuachapan and 6th ranked Santa Ana had identical 4-9 record. This time Ahuachapan used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from 90-65 on Saturday night. Ahuachapan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 32. They outrebounded Santa Ana 64-35 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ahuachapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Ericka Pratt (178, college: New England C., agency: Fully Feared Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Heimy Lopez (167-2004) accounted for 41 points (!!!) and 4 steals. Pratt is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Ahuachapan's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
