Yayma Boulet claims Salvadorean Liga Mayor weekly honour

Experienced Cuban Yayma Boulet (193-C-1984) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader San Salvador and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 39-year old center had a double-double of 52 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed LMMR 2 (#5, 3-7) with 56-point margin 102-46. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga Mayor. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and San Salvador still have not lost a single game, getting all 10 victories. Boulet turned to be San Salvador's top player in her first season with the team. Boulet has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.3ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.1rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 69.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cuban Bexy Claro (193-SF-2001) of second-ranked Salvadorenas 2nd team. Claro impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. Of course she led Salvadorenas 2 to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Batanecas (#3, 5-5) 80-59. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Salvadorenas 2 consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Claro is one of the most experienced players at Salvadorenas 2 and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.9ppg (#3). She also registered 16.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Cuban Rachel Contreras (184-C-1999) of Batanecas BC (#3). Contreras scored 23 points and grabbed 22 rebounds (!!!). Despite Contreras' great performance the Batanecas lost 51-70 to #1 ranked San Salvador. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Batanecas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Contreras has a great season in El Salvador. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.7ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 19.6rpg (#1 in league). She also has 2.3spg, 1.3bpg and a FGP of 51.2%.
