The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Batanecas (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by San Salvador (4-0) 62-60. It was a good game for Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Astrid Heredia (183-1996) contributed with 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds for Batanecas.
An interesting game for San Salvador (4-0) which played road game in Santa Ana against LMMR 2 (2-2). San Salvador had an easy win 73-57. It was a great evening for Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Adriana Rivas helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Cuban Eugenia Fraguela (-1996) with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of Santa Tecla 2 in a game versus Salvadorenas 2 (#8) 62-49. It was an exceptional evening for Gabriela Escobar who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Salvadorenas 2's coach Ray Santana used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Mariandrea Ambelis came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for Santa Tecla 2 in the defeat.
In the last two games of round 3 winless Ahuachapan was smashed by Santiagueno on the road 82-58. LMMR 2 destroyed Santiagueno on its own court 62-43.
