Puerto Rico have won CentroBasket 2024 opener beating El Salvador 82-73. A strong start allowed them to celebrate an initial win in Inforum. Arella Guirantes (181-SG-1997, college: Rutgers) was unstoppable with 40 points and 10 rebounds for thew winners. Tayra Melendez (183-G-1993, college: URI) netted 16 and Brianna Jones (177-G-1997, college: Georgetown) brought 9. Destiny Campbell (185-F/C-1996, college: ECU) replied with 29 points in a loss, whilst Hillary MartÃnez and Emily Tevez (175-SG-1993, college: NDN) notched 18 each. |
