Liga Mayor top team - Batanecas (6-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked LMMR 2 (4-4) in Santa Ana 58-53. Batanecas held LMMR 2 to an opponent 24.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded LMMR 2 56-44 including 16 on the offensive glass. Batanecas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban swingman Maria Montero (176-1998) contributed with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. point guard Maritza Munguia (150-2008) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for LMMR 2. Batanecas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Despite that victory Batanecas went down to second position due to points difference. LMMR 2 lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Liga Mayor top team - San Salvador (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked PSN (2-7) 96-59. Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) stepped up and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Anisleidys Martinez chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. San Salvador's coach Rainel Panfet felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Guatemalan swingman Genesis Catalan (176-1994) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for San Salvador. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. PSN lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. San Salvador will play against Salvadorenas 2 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. PSN will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 9 bottom-ranked Ahuachapan was beaten by PSN on the road 73-57.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked PSN's (2-7) home victory over 8th ranked Ahuachapan (2-6) 73-57. Guatemalan forward Valeria Oliva (169-2006) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners and Guatemalan center Noor Aranki (175-2002) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Dominican Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Stephanie Aguilar scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Ahuachapan's coach Elvis Cortez rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory PSN went down to eighth position due to points difference. Ahuachapan at the other side dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
