Contreras' double-double lands her Liga Mayor Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-C-1999) had a great game in the last round for league's best team AD Isidro Metapan and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 21 rebounds, while her team beat L.M.Mons. (#4, 2-3) 75-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Metapan to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Metapan already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Contreras had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Metapan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Contreras has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.6ppg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 57.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anisleidy Galindo of San Salvador. She is a in her first season at San Salvador. In the last game Galindo recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 27 rebounds. Of course she led San Salvador to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Ahuachapan (#5, 1-3) 93-60. San Salvador's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Galindo is one of the most experienced players at San Salvador and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#8). Her other stats are also decent: 16.0rpg and 3.4apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Maria Montero (176-G/F-1998) of Ahuachapan BC (#5). Montero showcased her all-around game by recording 9 points, 19 rebounds (!!!) and 15 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was a key player of Ahuachapan, leading her team to a 75-56 easy win against Capitalinas (#8, 0-5). Ahuachapan can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Montero has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (5th best) and assists with 9.0apg (best passer).
