The Regular Season in Liga Mayor just ended. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Round 5 most important game was a victory of Santa Ana over 7th ranked Santa Tecla 65-57 on Friday night. Santa Ana forced 19 Santa Tecla turnovers. Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Dominican forward Ruth Aracena (180-1999) contributed with 8 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Santa Ana's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) answered with 20 points and 5 assists for Santa Tecla. Santa Ana (2-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with L.M.Mons. Santa Tecla at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost.
Liga Mayor top team - Metapan (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Capitalinas (0-6) 68-27. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and Monica Aristondo chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Metapan's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Tatiana Huezo (160-2009) responded with 10 points. Undefeated Metapan have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Salvadorenas. Capitalinas at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.
Leader Salvadorenas blasted bottom-ranked Capitalinas (0-6) in 79-40 on Friday evening keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. Capitalinas is still unable to win any game. Angie Ayala nailed 17 points, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winning side. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. Natalia Castillo came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds for Capitalinas in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Salvadorenas. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Metapan. Capitalinas lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost.

Salvadorenas outrebounded Santa Ana 55-43 including 16 on the offensive glass. Forward Niky Orantes (167-2009) nailed 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and center Silvia Vega (176-2003) accounted for 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Salvadorenas players scored in double figures. Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) came up with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Vanessa Hernandez (157-1997) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Santa Ana in the defeat.
