Dominican Republic - Panama 90-54
Dominican Republic finished their preliminary action on a high note. They drubbed Panama to end up in the third position in Group A. Six players scored in double digits for the winners. Antonio Bonilla (187-SG-00) produced 17 points to lead the effort. Dominican Republic opened a 49:22 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Edward Lopez (190-G/F-01) had 13 points and 8 rebounds for Panama.

Puerto Rico - USA 71-115
USA cruised past Puerto Rico for the third straight win in Canada. Quentin Grimes (196-G-00) provided 20 points in the victory. USA unleashed 56 points in the first half to take a 27-point halftime lead. USA unloaded 37 points in the fourth quarter to cruise to the victory. Alec White tossed in 15 points in the win. Giovanni Santiago (183-PG-00) replied with 17 points for Puerto Rico.

Group B
Ecuador - Argentina 61-82
Argentina topped Ecuador for the second win in Saint Catharines. Juan De La Fuente (195-F/G-00) chipped in 18 points to lead the winners. Argentina eked out a 36:34 halftime lead. They followed with a 26:12 run in the third stanza to clear off for good. Marcos Giordano (183-PG-00) had 13 points for the winning side. Michael Moncayo (179-PG-00) answered with 16 points for Ecuador.

Chile - Canada 60-97
Canada stormed past Chile to finish undefeated in Group B. Andrew Nembhard (193-PG-00) came up with 19 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Canada dominated from start to finish. Canada accumulated a 50:33 halftime advantage. The hosts never looked back in the second half and marched to the win. Emanuel Miller (201-F-00) tossed in 17 points in the victory. Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd (208-F/C-00) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds for Chile.
