Argentina, Canada, USA and Puerto Rico enter semifinal stage

Dominican Republic - Argentina 70-87
Argentina bettered Dominican Republic to stay in the title quest in Saint Catharines. Marcos Giordano (183-PG-00) delivered 35 points to pace the winners. Argentina fired 31 points in the opening frame to take a 17-point lead. Argentina maintained the lead in the second half to rally to the win. Juan Ignacio Marcos (187-G-00) had 14 points for the winning side. Alanzo Frink (203-F-00) replied with 27 points and 7 rebounds for Dominican Republic.

Panama - Canada 39-105
Canada cruised into the semifinal stage with a comfortable win over Panama. Addison Patterson (198-F-01) came up with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the North American. Canada recorded a massive 56:16 halftime lead. They held Panama to just 23 points in the second half and coasted to the win. Jahcobi Neath (190-G-00) had 17 points in the victory. John Gunn (193-SG-00) answered with 15 points for Panama.

USA - Ecuador 132-55
USA breezed into the semifinal stage in Canada. They stunned Ecuador to advance. Trayce Davis (208-C-00) posted 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the winners. USA unloaded 65 points in the first half to open a comfortable lead and never looked back en route to the win. Matthew Hurt and Alex White (201-F-97) chipped in 19 points each for the winners. Aaron Capurro (196-F-00) and Brandon Valles (178-PG-01) had 19 points apiece for Ecuador.

Puerto Rico - Chile 68-65
Puerto Rico held off Chile to reach the semifinal stage. Alejandro Vasquez (190-G-00) tossed in 23 points to lead the winners. Chile accumulated a 40:30 halftime lead. But Puerto Rico went on a 21:10 run in the third term to surge ahead. They held Chile to just 15 points in the fourth stanza and marched to the victory. Giovanni Santiago (183-PG-00) had 12 points in the win. Ignacio Arroyo (185-G-00) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for Chile.
