Brazil - Canada 38-80
Canada defeated Brazil for the second straight win in Group A. T'Yana Todd (182-G-2004) posted 15 points to lead the North American side. Canada opened a 22-8 lead after ten minutes. They held Brazil to just 13 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Emma Koabel (178-SG-2004) finished with 14 points for Canada. Ana De Oliveira (165-G-2004) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Brazil.
Mexico - Argentina 53-67
Argentina outgunned Mexico for the first win in Buenos Aires. Argentina used a strong 21-8 run in the second period to open a 13-point halftime lead. They followed with an 18-13 run in the fourth period to ice the win. Nicole Tapari (172-G-2004) chipped in 17 points for Argentina. Mexico responded with 14 points from Anisa Jeffreis (2004).
Puerto Rico - USA 38-93
USA stormed past Puerto Rico for the second win in a row in Group B. Cotie McMahon (180-F-2004) tallied 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to pace the winners. The teams were tied at 12 after ten minutes. But USA unleashed 81 points in the next three quarters and cruised to the win. Aalyah Del Rosario (198-C-2004) notched 14 points and 12 rebounds for USA. Dianne Crespo (178-C-2006) had 13 points in the losing case.
Colombia - El Salvador 63-39
Maria Salguedo (168-PG-2005) posted 14 points to pace Colombia past El Salvador. Colombia led by just one point at halftime 20-19. But they went on a 27-7 rally in the fourth period to seal a comfortable win. Leidy Montano (173-G-2004) had 11 points for Colombia. Gabriela Alfaro (167-F-2004) answered with 13 points for El Salvador.
