Quarterfinals are set in Buenos Aires

Argentina - Belize 109-73
Argentina recorded the first win at the tournament. They cruised past Belize for the initial victory. Argentina went on a 52-31 second half rally to seal the win. Tyler Kropp (204-PF-2007) notched 30 points and 14 rebounds, while Felipe Minzer (195-G-2007) added 28 points and 14 boards for Argentina. Josiah Moseley (198-PF-2006) replied with 23 points for Belize.

Venezuela - Canada 53-89
Canada finished the group stage on a high note. They crushed Venezuela to earn the second spot in Group A. Canada built a 51-27 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Tristan Beckford (196-SF-2006) posted 17 points to lead the North American team. Anthony Reyes (180-F-2006) and Estoyan Vargas (197-F-2006) responded with 11 points each for Venezuela.

Brazil - USA 57-88
USA fired past Brazil to enter the quarterfinal stage undefeated. USA used a strong 31-14 rally in the second frame to open a 17-point halftime lead. They held Brazil to just 24 points in the second half and raced to the win. Jasper Johnson (193-F/G-2006) and Trey McKenney (189-SF-2006) hauled in 12 points each for the USA. Patrick Perna (191-SF-2007) answered with 10 points for Brazil.

Dominican Republic - Puerto Rico 63-52
Dominican Republic earned the third consecutive win in Argentina. They held off Puerto Rico to finish atop of Group A. Dominican Republic built a comfortable 34-22 halftime lead. They protected it well throughout the second half and raced to the win. Fernando De Los Santos (192-G-2006) and Adrian Brito (201-F-2007) posted 14 points each for the winners. Isaiah Brown (198-F-2006) replied with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Puerto Rico.
