Dominican Republic - Barbados 86:42

Dominican Republic coasted past Barbados in the opening game of the CBC Championship in Tortola. Marlem Caceres (88) scored 16 points to pace the winners.
Dominican Republic raced to a 21:8 lead after the opening frame. They ensured a 37:13 halftime advantage. Dominican Republic stayed in charge throughout the second half. They unloaded 49 points in the half to seal the victory. Yamel Abreu (95) and Melissa Santos netted 12 points each for Dominican Republic. Dale-Marie Cumberbatch (180-F-88) connected for 18 points for Barbados. Ashlee Daniel had 7 points in the loss.

US Virgin Islands - Bahamas 56:51
US Virgin Islands ensured the winning outcome in their first game at the CBC Championship. They prevailed against Bahamas. Natalie Day (182-G/F-90, college: Portland) scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for the winners. US Virgin Islands rallied to a 14:5 lead after the opening frame. Bahamas cut the deficit in the second period. They pulled within 6 points at halftime 20:26. Bahamas denied the deficit in the third term. They secured a one-point lead heading into the fourth frame. But US Virgin Islands ignited a 21:15 run in the final quarter to escape with a narrow win. Tanecka Carey (175-G-91) had 14 points, while Lanese Bough (178-G-93) produced 12 in the victory. Shanea Armbrister responded with 17 points for Bahamas. Jonquell Jones chipped in 15 points in the loss.

Group B
Trinidad and Tobago - Saint Vincent 57:43

Trinidad and Tobago got to the winning start of their CBC Championship campaign. They overcame Saint Vincent and Grenadines in the opener. Samantha Wallace connected for 11 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. Saint Vincent secured a 13:8 lead ten minutes into the game. But Trinidad and Tobago went on a 25:10 run in the second period to ensure a 33:23 halftime lead. The margin grew at 20-point mark at the final intermission. Saint Vincent cut the distance in the fourth frame but could not avoid the defeat. Joelisa Cooper (F) and Rhea Codia provided 9 points each for Trinidad and Tobago. Shavern Weekes (168-G-86) responded with 13 points for Saint Vincent. Vasha Adams (F/C-83) had 10 points in the defeat.

Jamaica - Guyana 86:26
Jamaica led from start to finish en route to the opening victory at the CBC Championship. They denied Guyana in Group B. Shenneika Smith (185-F/C-89, college: St.John's) netted 16 points in the victory.
Jamaica fired 19 points in the first period to take a 13-point lead. Jamaica went on a 29:5 run in the second term to ensure a comfortable 48:12 halftime advantage. Jamaica controlled the game in the second half cruising to a comfortable victory. Jennifer George (183-F, college: Florida) had 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Loreta Gordon added 12 points in the victory. Shakeila Sampson and LaToya Rodney replied with 6 points each for Guyana.
