Jamaica thumped British Virgin Islands to remain undefeated in Tortola. Dhanyel Johnson (190-C) posted 12 points and 12 rebounds to pace Jamaica to the third consecutive victory at the tournament. They topped Group B ladder and set up the clash versus U.S. Virgin Islands in the semifinals. Jamaica piled up a 25:18 halftime advantage. They triggered a stunnign 21:1 run in the third term to silence the hosts. Loreta Gordon (168-G-94) and Jennifer George (188-F, college: Florida) chipped in 11 points each for Jamaica. Tiffany Jennings (168-PG) responded with 10 points for British Virgin Islands.
U.S. Virgin Islands - Saint Vincent 62-49
U.S. Virgin Islands overcame Saint Vincent to improve at 2-1 record in Group A. Brittney Matthew (170-G) scored 19 points to pace the winners as they sealed the semifinal appearance. U.S. Virgin Islands built a 15:8 lead after the opening quarter. They extended the gap at 12-point mark at the interval. U.S. Virgin Islands kept Saint Vincent at bay throughout the second half rallying to the victory. Victoria Hamilton (178-G-91) produced 13 points and 13 rebounds for U.S. Virgin Islands. Vasha Adams (183-F/C-83) responded with 20 points and 11 rebounds for Saint Vincent. Lorna Caesar (168-G) had 14 points in the loss.
Group B
Bahamas - Antigua 74-39
Bahamas claimed the third straight victory in Tortola. They held off Antigua to capture the top position in Group A. Shanea Armbrister (180-F) and Malesha Petterson (173-G-92) posted 12 points each to pace Bahamas. Bahamas looked dominant in the first half. They established a comfortable 37:11 halftime advantage. Bahamas controlled the tempo in the second half. They marched to the third victory and would take on Barbados in the semis. Valerie Nesbitt (167-G) banked in 10 points for the winners. Arrianne Whyte (180-C) responded with 13 points and 13 rebounds for Antigua. Amanda Edwards (175-F-88) provided 10 points in the loss.
Guyana - Barbados 61-81
Barbados edged Guyana and sealed their semifinal appearance. Dale-Marie Cumberbatch (180-F-88) posted 29 points and 9 rebounds in the victory. Barbados got to a confident start. They dropped 49 points in the first half to pile up a 12-point halftime advantage. Barbados kept Guyana at bay throughout the second half. They limited their opponents to just 24 points after the big break and coasted to the victory. Jamila Studer-Griffith (183-G/F-82, college: Md-E Shore) netted 23 points and 8 rebounds, while Toni Atherley (173-G-83, college: Fresno St.) contributed 10 points for Barbados. Miriam McKenzie (177-G-90, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Loyola, MD) responded with 25 points and 11 rebounds for Guyana. Merisa Lewis tossed in 12 points and 8 rebounds in the defeat.
