The most exciting game of round 8 in the Liga Metropolitana took place in . This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Villa Nueva (3-2) to sixth ranked Centenarios (1-2) 86-85 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Villa Nueva. Worth to mention a great performance of Dilan Castillo (-3) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Edwin Ruiz who added 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Enrique Samayoa (193-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
