The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Crossover in Guatemala. Visitors were rolled over by USAC 79-48. American-Japanese forward Justin Bradley (198, college: William Penn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Victor Sosa contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Eddie Weems (196-1997, college: Carroll, WI) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds for Crossover. Crossover's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. USAC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Guatemala Pat City.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Guatemala: Halcones and Pat City. Halcones won against visiting Pat City 89-74. Mario Reyes scored 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Halcones' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corey No Tengo responded with 41 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Halcones will meet Coyotes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pat City's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Guatemala to the arena USAC.
In the last two games of round 2 Yolo's lost to Forza in Guatemala 44-119. PIBA was smashed by New Legends at home 67-107.
