Stefan Peno (ex Tijuana) joins Melilla

Melilla Ciudad del Deporte (Segunda FEB) has agreed to terms with 27-year-old Serbian-Guyanese ex-international guard Stefan Peno (194cm-91kg-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season with Zonkeys de Tijuana in the Mexican CIBACOPA. In 8 games, he averaged 3.5ppg, 2.6rpg, and 2.8apg. Prior to that, he played for BKK Radnicki Beograd (KLS) in the Serbian league.
He was also a member of the Serbian international program for some years. Peno played for Serbian Senior National Team between 2014 and 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2017.
He is quite an experienced player. Peno has played in Germany (ALBA Berlin and Rasta Vechta), Greece (Maroussi and Mykonou), Lithuania (Lietkabelis and Prienu KKSC), Mexico, Serbia (OKK Beograd), and Spain (FC Barcelona, FC Barcelona Lassa 2nd team, and Surne Bilbao).
His team reached the Lithuanian Cup Final Four in 2023.
