The draw for the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean (CBC) Pre-Qualifiers was held on Monday in Miami, setting the stage for a 10-team tournament to be played July 8-12 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, Guyana.
The draw produced two groups of five:

Group A: Guyana, Dominica, Turks and Caicos, Antigua and Barbuda, Bermuda
Group B: Haiti, Grenada, Cayman Islands, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Each team will face every opponent in its group once in a round-robin format. Only the top team from each group will advance to the next stage of the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers, making every game a virtual elimination contest. The tournament marks a historic moment for Guyanese basketball Georgetown will host the regional championship for the first time since 1994, rekindling memories of 1981 when Guyana staged the inaugural edition of the competition. Guyana Basketball Federation President Michael Singh expressed confidence in the federation's readiness to deliver a professionally executed event. The Caribbean Pre-Qualifiers join the Central American Pre-Qualifiers already completed in March in San Salvador as the earliest stages of the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 qualifying pathway.
