There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LNBPF. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Seventh-ranked Panteras (6-12) were very close to win a game against second ranked Fuerza Regia (14-4) in Monterrey on Thursday. Fuerza Regia managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American players dominated the game. Guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. Guard Morgan Green (175-1996, college: UC Irvine) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Taylor Wurtz (183-1990, college: Wisconsin) answered with 26 points for Panteras. Fuerza Regia maintains second place with 14-4 record having just two points less than leader Adelitas. Panteras lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Freseras. Fuerza Regia are again looking forward to face Panteras (#7) in Aguascalientes in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Panteras will have a break next round.

LNBPF top team - Adelitas (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Freseras (6-12) in Chihuahua 84-61. It was a quality performance for Jessica Thomas who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Adelitas' coach Maikel Lopez felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sidney Cooks came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds for Freseras in the defeat. Adelitas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-2 record. Freseras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Panteras. Adelitas will again meet Freseras (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Freseras will have a break next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: Santas were beaten by Correcaminos on the road 76-65. Halcones won against Rojas on its own court 71-65. Santas managed to outperform Correcaminos in Potosi 73-67. Halcones managed to beat Rojas at home 83-75. Freseras were defeated by Adelitas on the opponent's court 77-70.

Correcaminos - Santas 76-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Correcaminos' (8-10) home victory over 5th ranked Santas (8-10) in Ciudad Victoria 76-65 on Friday. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ciani Cryor (165-1997, college: Texas Southern) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Brittany Byrd (176-1997, college: UIC) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Forward LaDazhia Williams (193-1998, college: LSU) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Akilah Bethel (183-1993, college: LSU) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Santas in the defeat. Santas' coach Manuel Cintron rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Correcaminos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 8-10 record, which they share with defeated Santas. Correcaminos will again meet Santas (#5) in the next round. Santas will have a break next round.

LNBPF top team - Adelitas (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Freseras (6-12) in Chihuahua 84-61. It was a quality performance for American-Cameroonian guard Jessica Thomas (168-1994, college: Miami, FL) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American-Jordanian guard Aisha Sheppard (175-1998, college: Virginia Tech) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Five Adelitas players scored in double figures. Adelitas' coach Maikel Lopez felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Iggy Allen (180-1998, college: ODU) added 11 points respectively for Freseras in the defeat. Rather expected game when 6th ranked Rojas (7-11) lost to third ranked Halcones (13-5) in Xalapa 65-71 on Thursday. Halcones made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American-U.S. Virgin Islands swingman Imani Tate (175-1995, college: Albany) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-1994, college: Dayton) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Canadian guard Shaina Pellington (173-1999, college: Arizona) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Spanish center Umo Diallo (192-1998) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Rojas in the defeat. We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Santas (8-10) won against 4th placed Correcaminos (8-10) in Ciudad Victoria 73-67 on Saturday. Santas dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 30. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) who led the winners and scored 17 points. Forward LaDazhia Williams (193-1998, college: LSU) accounted for 7 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Brittany Byrd (176-1997, college: UIC) came up with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Ciani Cryor (165-1997, college: Texas Southern) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Correcaminos in the defeat. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Santas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Correcaminos. Santas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
