Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Fuerza Regia (10-2) in Aguascalientes on Friday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Panteras (7-5) 85-83. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for swingman Stedmon Lemon (198-1992, college: JCSU) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. Guard Gary Ricks (185-1991, college: Drake) contributed with 20 points and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) answered with 14 points and 4 assists for Fuerza Regia. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Panteras maintains sixth place with 7-5 record. Defending champion Fuerza Regia still keeps top position with two games lost. Panteras are looking forward to face Halc.Rojos (#15) in Veracruz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round.

Correcaminos will play against higher ranked Santos (#7) in San Luis Potosi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Astros will have a break next round.

Gael Bonilla came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Diablos in the defeat. Diablos' coach Nicolas Casalanguida let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Soles moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lobos BUAP. Loser Diablos keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Mineros. Soles will meet higher ranked Halc.Xalapa (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Diablos will have a break next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Santos beat Dorados on the road 86-82. Freseras lost to Halc.Xalapa on its own court 79-84. Halc.Rojos unfortunately lost to Plateros in Fresnillo 82-85. Lobos BUAP managed to beat Mineros at home 86-82. Astros defeated Correcaminos on the opponent's court 92-80. Freseras were beaten by Halc.Xalapa in a home game 76-81. Halc.Rojos were destroyed by Plateros on the road 108-85.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 23 points by Michael Bryson of Plateros.




Correcaminos - Astros 75-73

Important game to mention about took place in Ciudad Victoria. Thirteenth ranked Correcaminos (3-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-best Astros (9-2) 75-73 on Friday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Iranian-British center Aaron Geramipoor (213-1992, college: Seton Hall) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. American-Argentinian Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Soles players scored in double figures. International swingman Gael Bonilla (204-2003) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Cecil Williams (198-1995, college: CMU) added 12 points respectively for Diablos in the defeat. There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Santos (6-6) beat 6th ranked Dorados (6-6) in Chihuahua 86-82 on Friday. Santos made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Santos outrebounded Dorados 35-19 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American center Kevin Allen (211-1994, college: Emporia St., agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Luis Lopez accounted for 10 points and 7 assists for the winning side. American point guard Lester Medford Jr (178-1993, college: Baylor) came up with 15 points and 9 assists and Swedish guard Elijah Clarance (194-1998, college: Illinois St.) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Dorados in the defeat. Five Santos and four Dorados players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Santos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Dorados and Plateros. Santos will meet at home Correcaminos (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dorados will play against Abejas (#16) in Guanajuato and hope to secure a win.

However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Plateros looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Kwame Alexander (201-1990, college: CSUSB, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds.
