Despite that victory Dorados went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Fuerza Regia. Dorados will play against higher ranked Mineros (#3) in Zacatecas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will play on the road against Santos in San Luis Potosi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between fourth ranked Diablos (5-1) and 13th ranked Santos (1-5) in on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. Diablos outscored guests from San Luis Potosi 124-71. The winners were led by Daishon Smith who scored that evening 21 points and 7 assists. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by Torren Jones did not help to save the game for Santos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Diablos moved-up to second place, which they share with Mineros. Loser Santos dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Panteras and Abejas. Diablos will meet Gambusinos (#6) in the next round. Santos will play against Fuerza Regia (#5) and hope to win that game.
In the last two games of round 8 Freseros were smashed by Mineros on the road 102-61. Astros won against Panteras on its own court 84-76.
