There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LNBP. The round 27 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The game between third ranked Diablos (18-8) and 9th ranked Correcaminos (11-15) in on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Diablos outscored guests from Ciudad Victoria 114-84. Diablos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 42. They outrebounded Correcaminos 37-23 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Diablos looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Correcaminos' players. It was a good game for Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). American guard Daishon Smith (185-1995, college: ULM) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Diablos' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Roddy Peters (193-1995, college: Nicholls) answered with 23 points and 4 assists for Correcaminos. Diablos have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-8 record having five points less than leader Soles, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Correcaminos at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Panteras and El Calor. Diablos is looking forward to face El Calor (#9) in Cancun in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Correcaminos will play on the road against Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 27: Panteras were beaten by Fuerza Regia on the road 80-63. Dorados lost to Halc.Xalapa on its own court 76-84. El Calor managed to outperform Gambusinos in Cancun 93-88. Fuerza Regia managed to beat Panteras at home 104-91.
The most impressive performance of 27th round was 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Joshua Ibarra of Fuerza Regia.
