Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Mieleras as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Mieleras edged 4th ranked Dragonas in Guanajuato 62-59. Mieleras forced 21 Dragonas turnovers. The former international point guard Paola Beltran (164-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. point guard Charisse Burruel (165) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds for Dragonas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Dragonas at the other side keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Dragonas will play next round against strong Estrellas trying to get back on the winning streak. Mieleras will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Mineras in Zacatecas.
Fourth-ranked Dragonas (3-9) were very close to win a game against second ranked Mieleras (10-2) in Guanajuato. Mieleras managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan-Cuban point guard Barbara Velasquez (168-2002) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and Montserrat Aguilar who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Dragonas at the other side keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Mieleras will play against league's second-placed Mineras in Zacatecas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragonas will play at home against Estrellas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Mieleras (10-2) which hosted in Guanajuato their close opponent Mineras (10-4). Second ranked Mieleras had an easy win 94-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mineras. The winners were led by Carolina Lucero who scored that evening 19 points. Even 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by Adriana Chavez did not help to save the game for Mineras. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Mineras keep the second place with four games lost. Mieleras will again meet at home league's second-placed Mineras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mineras will have a break next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: bottom-ranked Toritas were smashed by Mineras on the road 86-49. Mineras destroyed Toritas on its own court 60-41. Mineras managed to outperform Mieleras in Zacatecas 79-70.
