This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Cacique D. (15-7) to fifth ranked Ingenieria (12-11) 102-100 on Thursday evening. Ingenieria outrebounded Cacique D. 64-49 including a 43-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for forward Ronald Lawton who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Puerto Rican forward Felix Rivera-Vega (201-97, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Paris Global Sports) helped adding 23 points and 20 rebounds. At the losing side Dominican forward Xavier de la Rosa (196-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Ingenieria moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rivas. Cacique D. at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Esteli. Third ranked Real Esteli (14-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging their biggest opponent Cacique D. (15-7) 94-91 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American-Puerto Rican Melsahn Basabe (201-92, college: Iowa) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Francisco Garth accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds. Dominican forward Xavier de la Rosa (196-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for Cacique D. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Esteli maintains third place with 14-8 record having four points less than leader Brumas. Cacique D. at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Jinotega. First ranked host Brumas (18-4) smashed 4th placed Rivas (12-11) 94-71. Dayton Cacho fired 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. BJ Glasford produced 20 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-4 record. Loser Rivas keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ingenieria.

In the last two games of round 31 Leon won against Tigres on the opponent's court 97-81. Leones MGA managed to outperform Indigenas in a home game 78-70.

Rather expected game in Chinandega where 9th ranked Tigres (3-19) were defeated by seventh ranked Leon (11-10) 97-81 on Thursday. Leon looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Dominican center Miguel Almonte (211-91) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. Cuban Yuniskel Molina (183-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Leon players scored in double figures. Jose Ortiz produced 27 points and Mauro Guerrero added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Leon maintains seventh place with 11-10 record. Tigres lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. They share the position with Indigenas.

His fellow American import forward Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Dominican center Teodoro Romero produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and American James Edmond Jr (205-91, college: Lincoln, MO) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones MGA moved-up to sixth place. Indigenas lost fourth consecutive game.
