Caribbean Coast outrebounded Jaguares 43-31 including 26 on the offensive glass. Caribbean Coast looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) fired 37 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Jorge Gonzalez (198-1995) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-1996, college: Lynchburg, agency: AG Sports Solutions) produced 25 points and 7 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caribbean Coast have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Jaguares at the other side keep the sixth place with 13 games lost.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Real Esteli (18-6) played at the court of 7th ranked UNI Basket (7-16). Real Esteli smashed UNI Basket 96-65. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds. Isaiah Palermo contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tyler Morman (206-1997, college: Southern Miss) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for UNI Basket. UNI Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Real Esteli have a solid three-game winning streak. The game in Matagalpa was also quite interesting. Third ranked Brumas (18-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Indigenas (6-17). Brumas defeated Indigenas 83-73 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Marvin Cairo who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Brumas' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Tylan Dean responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Brumas moved-up to second place. Indigenas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost.
In the last two games of round 28 Tigres were crushed by Leon in a road game 109-78. Leones smashed Rivas at home 110-63.
The best stats of 28th round was 19 points and 12 rebounds by Jeleel Akindele of Brumas.
