The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Brumas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Brumas smashed 14th ranked Leones in Jinotega 91-71. Brumas forced 19 Leones turnovers and outrebounded them 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international Juan Herrera (187-1996) fired 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Rafael Mendoza (171-2001) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Rogelio Bermudez (-2003) produced 14 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Brumas (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Tipitapa. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Managua. Top-ranked Brumas faced their biggest opponent Jaguares. Guests from Jinotega (10-0) smashed host Jaguares (10-2) 72-46. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jaguares. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Dalton Cacho (200-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 20 rebounds. Rafael Mendoza contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Elkin Romero (-2001) replied with 13 points for Jaguares. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Brumas have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Jass recorded a loss to UNAN de in a home game 68-76. Carazo was crushed by Sebaco on the road 81-60. Tipitapa smashed Alcaldia Alma on its own court 98-58. La Libertad was destroyed by Real Esteli in a road game 86-67. San Isidro unfortunately lost to Tigres at home 65-70. Hurricane recorded a loss to La Libertad on the opponent's court 76-83. Tigres were defeated by UNAN de in a home game 78-87.

Jaguares - Jass 90-58

There was no surprise in Managua where 16th ranked Jass (4-8) were crushed by second ranked Jaguares (10-2) 90-58 on Saturday. Jaguares dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Jass' 30. They outrebounded Jass 63-38 including a 29-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Deybi Garcia (-2004) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international Kevin Andino (186-2002) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Jovanni Serrano responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Michael Lampson produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Jaguares have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Jaguares went down to third position due to points difference. Jass lost fifth consecutive game.
